Andrea C. Tricco, PhD, MSc, appointed as JCE Co-Editor-in-Chief

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea C. Tricco, PhD, MSc, as incoming co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology. Dr. Tricco will succeed Peter Tugwell, MBBS, MD, FRCP, effective January 2023, and will join David I. Tovey, FRCGP, as co-Editor-in-Chief.

Dr. Tricco holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Synthesis. She is the Director of the Knowledge Synthesis Team at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of Unity Health Toronto, Associate Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Publish Health at the University of Toronto, and Co-Director and Adjunct Associate Professor of the Queen’s Collaboration for Health Care Quality JBI Centre of Excellence. Her research focuses on advancing the science of Knowledge Synthesis, particularly to engage decision-makers in the process. Dr. Tricco is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology.

Dr. Tricco looks forward to building on JCE’s successful history: “I am incredibly excited and honoured to take on this challenging new role! I am particularly looking forward to making a more substantial contribution to the journal and Editorial Board. This role will allow me to focus on initiatives that I’m very passionate about, including equity, diversity, and inclusion, open science, and enhancing the publishing experience.”
