Back pain predicts decline in lower extremity physical function among community-living older persons

      Back pain is common among older persons, but little is known about the longitudinal effects of back pain on physical function among community-living older persons. We sought to determine whether back pain leading to activity restriction (hereafter referred to as activity restricting back pain) is associated with decline in lower extremity physical function.
